Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Award Winners 2016

The winners of the Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Awards 2016 have been announced!

The winner of the Kate Greenaway Award was The Sleeper and the Spindle by Chris Riddell (illustrator) and Neil Gaiman (author), making Riddell the first illustrator to score a Kate Greenaway hat-trick.

The winner of the Carnegie Award was One by Sarah Crossan, her third Carnegie-nominated book over four years.

Congratulations to the winners and commiserations to those other shortlisted – the competition was fierce, so well done for making it to the final round!
