Here at Libraries 4 Schools, our job is to help encourage and support children reading in schools.

We can help you build a library from scratch or expand the library you already have, from the loaning systems to your book displays. It’s not just about the room though – we can also advise you on running activities and outreach programmes to make your library a focal point within your school and the wider community.

We know that getting children reading is important, and that’s why Libraries 4 Schools is not just a business, but a belief.

Her insightful knowledge of children’s books is truly exceptional

Lynda has a deep understanding of how to engage children with reading. Her insightful knowledge of children’s books is truly exceptional. She enthuses everyone, staff and children alike, with her wonderful storytelling and deep passion for reading. She listens carefully to what leaders, teachers and children want and goes out of her way to provide solutions along with helpful support and advice. She has an expert knowledge of how school libraries can be run effectively and productively based on years of experience. It’s not often you come across someone who can offer the passion, the knowledge and the practicality in one!

She is simply fabulous!

Fantastic support. Lynda has trained our staff in using the Dewey decimal system. She has organised our new library and supported staff in setting up practices and procedures. With her wealth of knowledge and experience, she makes a molehill out of a mountain! Lynda has organised our guided reading resources and offered advice and guidance on new resources – and all with a smile! She is simply fabulous!

A great way to celebrate the importance of storytelling

Lynda came into our school to run a series of storytelling sessions during National Storytelling Week. She was very helpful prior to the visit, advising on helpful books and resources for the week and sharing her ideas for the sessions. The storytelling sessions were fantastic and ensured the children were engaged and actively participating. A great way to celebrate the importance of storytelling. Thank you Lynda!
